How long will my coffee take to get to me?
Because we fresh roast everything, it takes about 7 business days to arrive. The beautiful thing is that your coffee will have been roasted just a couple days before you get it!
Where does your coffee come from?
We get our coffee from Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Mexico, and Rwanda.
Should I put my coffee in the freezer like my grandma told me too?
The only thing that should go in the freezer is pizza and ice. The biggest killers to coffee are moisture, air, and light. The best place to store your coffee would be in an air-tight container, approximately 5'4" off the ground in your pantry or cupboard. We're kidding about keeping it high off the ground. That actually won't do anything.
Why don't your bags carry the certified fair trade label?
The issue of trade is too complicated to be solved through a label. We simply don't use TransFair to certify our coffee because we don't support the methods they use to certify it.
Some coffee giants will only carry a small portion of fair trade coffee, but will confuse the consumers into thinking all of their coffee is fair trade. We believe there is a huge difference between roasters who only buy a small amount of fair trade coffees (we won't mention who but google can help you find them) and those who are really committed to helping farmers get a better price for their work.
So, we get our coffee directly from farmers so we can ensure they are paid a fair wage.
